Christos Prossylis

Christos is a media/net artist, film/theatre director and writer. Christos was born in Athens (Greece) in 1969. He studied Acting, Film and Television Directing and Theatre Studies at the National and Kapodistrian University in Athens and holds a Masters degree in Digital Arts from the Athens School of Fine Arts and National Technical University of Athens (Electrical and Computer Engineering Department). He is currently a PhD researcher at Middlesex University, London.

Since 1989 he has collaborated with experimental theatre & performing groups and with the free theatre, participating in many performances and seminars. Since 1995 he has conducted research on and experimented with theatrical practice, film and video, video art and the artistic expression in mixed media, using new technologies (film and video, computer art, net art, multimedia applications, etc.). He has strong computer skills, including multimedia tools. He also directs and writes plays for the theatre, the cinema and the television. He regularly writes articles, as well as short stories and novels. He collaborates with artists and organizations from all over the world. He is a member of the International Theatre Institute and Directors Guild (member of European Federation F.E.R.A. and International Federation M.E.I.).
